"Photographer Ethan Early created this captivating short documentary about Snitzer's life and work during Early's final year at Ringling College of Art and Design, and completed it right before the MFA special exhibition opened.

"Can I Get a Witness: Photographs by Herb Snitzer," featured the diverse body of work from the St. Petersburg resident, photographer, educator, and civil rights activist. During his career spanning 60-plus years, Snitzer captured people and places from all walks of life, including urban street scenes of New York in the 1950s; spirited shots of the St. Petersburg Pride celebrations in recent decades; and portraits of musicians committed to social justice, such as jazz, blues and folk singer/ songwriter Nina Simone."
